New Delhi, September 17
After Navjot Singh Sidhu targeted AAP leader Arvind Keriwal on the farm laws, party’s Punjab affairs co-in charge Raghav Chadha kicked up a row by dubbing the PCC chief as “Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics”. This evinced sharp rebuke from Congress spokesperson Alka Lamba, who linked him to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Sawant has a reputation of speaking out of turn, and on issues which are considered social taboos.
Sawant of Punjab politics
The Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics — Navjot Singh Sidhu — has received a scolding from Congress high command for non-stop rant against Capt. — Raghav Chadha, AAP
Misogynistic mindset of RSS
AAP has always had the misogynistic mindset of the RSS… this time also, it has dragged in a woman, thereby manifesting its despicable politics. — Alka Lamba, Congress spokesperson
The Chadha-Lamba verbal duel played out virtually on the Twitter. After Sidhu questioned the sincerity of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on the farmers’ issues, Chadha unleashed an ad hominem attack on him, rather than commenting on the issue raised.
“The Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics — Navjot Singh Sidhu — has received a scolding from the Congress high command for non-stop rant against Capt. Therefore today, for a change, he went after Kejriwal. Wait till tomorrow for he shall resume his diatribe against Capt with vehemence,” Chadha said.
