Mansa, October 25

Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today accused SAD leaders of creating a mafia not just in transport, but in several areas like sand, cable and drug in the past 15 years.

Talking about the poor condition of buses, Warring said: “Ever since I took charge as minister, PRTC and Roadways have started generating income. If things had been better in the past, the profit would be Rs 2,700 crore in 14 years. Due to the loot, public buses are in a shambles.”

It’s vendetta: akalis

Responding to the Transport Minister’s charge, SAD leader Sikander Singh Maluka alleged transporters belonging to Akali Dal were being tragetted as part of political vendetta.
