Sangrur administration reviews strategy to tackle virus

Sangrur, February 26

To prevent further spread of Covid-19 in district , Sangrur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramvir on Friday presided over a meeting of the district task force committee and directed all to intensify testing of suspected patients.

“I have directed all officers to accelerate the sampling as Covid-19 cases might increase if we lower our guard. Our special teams are already in field and trying their level best to convince residents for testing,” said the DC after meeting.

In Sangrur, two more have tested positive while another positive case was reported from Sunam on Friday . In total, 4,536 patients have tested positive across Sangrur district till now. However, there are only 36 active cases in he district. Besides, 206 patients lost their lives due to Covid in the district. ADC Anmol Singh Dhaliwal and Civil Surgeon Anjna Gupta were present during the meeting.
