Sangrur, April 12
The Dirba police have arrested a woman after her nine-year-old stepdaughter alleged that she tortured her with hot iron rods.
After teachers noticed injuries on the girl’s body, they took her to the police. An FIR was registered under Sections 326, 323, 342 and 506 of the IPC and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, against the girl’s stepmother. —
