Jalandhar, April 13

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes has directed the Jalandhar Police Commissioner to submit the facts related to a complaint filed by Jalandhar-based resident against former PCC president Sunil Jakhar for allegedly making objectionable remarks against former CM Charanjit S Channi.

The commission has directed the police to submit the facts within 15 days.

The office of Jalandhar Police Commissioner Gurpreet S Toor confirmed having received the notice. Jakhar, who is already facing a notice by his own party, has already said he didn’t make any anti-Dalit remarks. —
