Amritsar, January 1
SGPC is going to conduct ‘Ros Divas’ in protest against the incidents of sacrilege here on January 2. A meeting of SGPC members, chaired by SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami, was held. “Sri Guru Granth Sahib is supreme for the Sikhs and the incidents of sacrilege have shocked the psyche of the community. The government is not making efforts to reach the actual culprits who desecrated the holy book of Sikhs. On January 2, representatives of various Sikh organisations would assemble at Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in the Golden Temple complex,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dhami expressed grief over the demise of Giani Rowail Singh, who served as the head granthi of Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan. — TNS
