The Punjab government on Thursday appointed DGP Sidharth Chattopadhyaya as new Director, Vigilance Bureau.
Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu was reportedly backing his appointment as Punjab DGP — head of police force.
It seems a compromise has been reached within the warring groups within the Congress on Chattopadhyaya’s posting.
