Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday (September 7, 2026) expressed confidence that the election results would surpass those of 2024 even if the State went to polls immediately, but said that to reach that goal, the coalition government should continue its good work while effectively countering the “malicious propaganda” unleashed by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Public representatives must be at the forefront of solving problems being faced by the people to earn their trust, which was crucial to achieving the desired outcome, he said, and called for efforts to win the upcoming local body elections.

Addressing the TDP’s Leadership Conclave at its central office near Mangalagiri, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said the party would duly recognise those living up to expectations and asked the leaders and grassroots workers to have cordial relations with the alliance partners Jana Sena Party (JSP) and BJP, as the unity of the coalition was equally important. He said the YSRCP was running a false campaign and it should be exposed with concrete evidence, citing the YSRCP’s claims on the Veligonda and Polavaram projects as an example.

The Chief Minister said the YSRCP lacked the courage to confront the government on the floor of the Legislative Assembly; instead, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had been spreading all sorts of falsehoods through other forums. He suggested that the allegations being made by the YSRCP should be shown to be baseless through social media.

The purpose of forging the alliance with the JSP and the BJP was to save the State from a disaster caused by the YSRCP’s misrule, he said, and added that the government was working closely with the Centre and, with its help, had fulfilled all the election promises in spite of financial constraints.

Mr. Naidu went on to say that comprehensive plans had been prepared for the development of all three regions and top priority had been accorded to the development of Amaravati, completing the major irrigation projects, mainly Polavaram, and realising the Swarnandhra Vision.

Rammohan Naidu, the party’s State president Palla Srinivasa Rao, Government Whip Kalava Srinivasulu, Ministers Vangalapudi Anitha (Home), Payyavula Keshav (Finance), K.
