Ferozepur, September 2
An unidentified person decamped with an ATM installed outside the Punjab and Sind Bank last night, which is situated just a stone’s throw away from the City police station. As per information, the machine contained cash amounting to Rs 4.84 lakh.
As per the CCTV footage, the unidentified robber came in a car and took out the gas cutter and other equipment to uninstall the machine. Later, he took away the machine after bundling it inside his car. The entire incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed inside the ATM. However, the accused could not be identified as his face was covered.
Senior officials, including DSP (Headquarters) Satwinder Singh, reached the spot. When contacted, DSP Satwinder said the police were checking the CCTV footage and the accused would be nabbed soon . A case has been registered at the City police station. — OC
