Abohar: The police have arrested two drug peddlers. The police said 20 gm of heroin was seized from Lalit Middha on Thursday night near Maharana Pratap Market here. A case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the IPC was registered. Gurdeep Singh of Ellenabad was nabbed with 50 gm of heroin. OC

Abohar: Two vehicles were stolen from here on Friday. A truck was stolen from the Abohar Truck Operators Union’s office on the Abohar-Malout stretch, while a bike was stolen from Nehru Park. OC
Suspect flees, cop suspended
Muktsar: Constable Jagmeet Singh has been suspended and departmental enquiry has been initiated against two home guards—Gurjeet Singh and Sahib Singh— after a man arrested in an NDPS Act case fled from their custody on Wednesday. The suspect, Sagar, was taken to the Civil Hospital for medical examination, but he escaped. TNS
