The police here seized 15 kg of poppy husk that Karan Singh Uthwalia of Jodhpur was allegedly carrying in a bag. The police also seized 24 kg of poppy husk from Bhim Sain of Hardaswali and Narinder Singh of Blochian village in Sriganganagar. A case was registered under the NDPS Act. Meanwhile, around 48 kg of poppy husk was seized when cops stopped a truck on NH-62 and searched the vehicle that was carrying glass bottles from Madhya Pradesh to Ludhiana. — OC
