Perch, a Chennai-based theatre group, will bring its production Under the Mangosteen Tree to Kottayam on Friday as part of its farewell tour.

Inspired by the works of Malayalam writer Vaikom Muhammad Basheer, the play explores his distinctive world of humour, tenderness and deeply human stories.

The play will be staged at Mammen Mappillai Hall at 6.30 p.m. on Friday. The production is being presented in Kottayam by The Purple Crayons.
