Chandigarh, July 24
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) suspects there is a larger political conspiracy to foment trouble in the state so that the government can be defamed.
“Though we do not have proof of this, all incidents that have happened in the state since the AAP government took over, would not have been possible without political patronage,” Public Relations Minister Aman Arora told the media here today.
Arora said a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was used to attack the Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali. “Where did an RPG come from? It either came from outside the state or across the border. The responsibility of guarding the borders is of the Centre. I am not blaming anybody, but just pointing out the lapses,” he said.
The minister said drugs and gangsters in Punjab had been promoted by different governments in the past.
