Telangana SIR | How to check online whether notice was issued to you

People in Telangana can now check if they have been issued notices as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 in the State. The option was made available on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer-Telangana. People have been requesting for this option to be provided.

How to check online?

Look for the option ‘List of persons to whom notices have been issued’ on the homepage. Upon clicking it, people will be asked to select the district, Assembly constituency. Thereafter, click on the tab with the title ‘Get polling stations’. A link will pop up. After entering captcha, the list can be downloaded.

Details in the list

The details in the list includes part serial number, EPIC number, elector’s name, age, gender and reason for discrepancy such as mismatch in name of elector or parent, unmapped with previous SIR, age gap of less than nine months between progeny, and others. 

People have been receiving notices with details including name of the person, EPIC number, Assembly constituency , part number, serial number and address. The time, date and venue of hearing too was mentioned. Hearings too have commenced.

92.87 lakh in anomalies and unmapped categories

There were 3,38,26,448 electors in the State as on June 10, 2026. The draft rolls were published onAugust 17, 2026, with 2,64,87,213 voters. Out of them, 60,50,918 were in the ‘anomalies’ category and 32,36,659 were put under ‘electors with no mapping category’. People under the two categories totalled 92,87,577. 

As per information from the CEO’s office, 92,88,112 notices were generated as on September 1, 2026, and seven were yet to be generated. Out of the 92.88 lakh notices, 31,74,952 notices were delivered to electors.

SIR dates revised

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has revised dates of remaining SIR activities; the deadline for filing claims and objections was moved from September 16 to October 7. The deadline for notice phase or disposal of claims and objections is moved from October 15 to November 5. And, the final electoral rolls will be published on November 9, instead of October 19.
