IIT-Ropar, Ludhiana hospital ink pact

The Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar (IIT-Ropar), and Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana, signed an agreement for cooperation and promotion of research in healthcare technologies here today.

The MoU was signed by Director, IIT-Ropar, Prof Rajeev Ahuja, and Dayanand Medical College and Hospital Chairman (Ramp;D) Dr Gurpreet Wander.

Ahuja said the institutes would together explore clinical trials of health technologies and translational clinical research, data sharing for clinical and engineering research, creation of joint educational and research programs, partnership in innovation and entrepreneurship-driven opportunities and resources, partnership in collaborative consulting and research projects and sharing of scientific-technical network and infrastructure, under the umbrella of this memorandum.

Faculty members of both institutes would be working on conducting research using each other’s laboratories and other facilities and will be collaborating for research work.
