Amidst the ongoing internal strife within the Congress, a section of party MLAs is seemingly perplexed over which side to be on. Many of them, who were earlier seen with PCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, have now switched loyalties following the AICC statement that polls would be fought under Captain Amarinder Singh.
Ferozepur (Rural) MLA Satkar Kaur, whose husband Jasmail Singh Laddi Gehri was seen with Navjot Sidhu till a few weeks ago, has made a “U- turn” and issued a statement denying any link with the anti-CM lobby. Satkar Kaur said she had gone to Chandigarh a few days ago to attend a meeting held by some Cabinet Ministers. “I had no idea that the meeting was organised to initiate some campaign against the CM,” she said, adding that she had full faith in the leadership of Captain Amarinder. — OC
